According to a report by a Web Da correspondent from Abadan, the start of Khorramshahr Chemotherapy Clinic and its challenges were discussed in a meeting.
Dr. Nurullah Taheri, Deputy of Faculty Management and Resources Development, Abadan University of Medical Sciences; Mr. Mulla Alizadeh, Managing Director of Emdad Garane Ashura Charity in Abadan; Dr. Mousavi, Director of Health Care Center at Arvand Free Zone; Eng. Nazemi, Head of Physical Development Office, Abadan University of Medical Sciences; Mr. Khaza’el, Head of Budget Office, Abadan University of Medical Sciences; and Dr. Feqhi, President of Vali ‘Asr (A.S.) Hospital attended this meeting and passed a number of bills for the establishment of a chemotherapy clinic at Vali ‘Asr (A.S.) Hospital.
The topics covered in this meeting included the following: examining the requirements and fixing the technical defects of this chemotherapy clinic, prioritizing the obstacles to be removed, recruiting and teaching the needed staff, arranging for the permanent residence of an oncologist at the clinic, and the provision of the needed amount of cloth for the patient clothing and apparel by Emdad Garane Ashura Charity.
It deserves mention that all the participants in this meeting were unanimous in overcoming the obstacles to the clinic and operationalizing it to offer services in the shortest possible time. They also emphasized that all potentials and resources should be employed to make the clinic fully operational.
