Food and Drug Administration of Abadan was launched in 2013
It consists of three departments:
1. Department of Drug and Biological Products supervision
2. Department of food and cosmetics supervision
3. Department of food laboratories
In addition, monitoring the medical equipment and supplies is the responsibility of this department. And also an expert works in this department to monitor natural traditional and complementary products.
Generally, in each of the entities in this department there are a number of experts who have the duty of inspecting the active units under their supervision which includes public and private pharmacies, food and beverage manufacturing industries, cosmetics and control over the import and export of goods through seven customs in the region, as well as inspection of druggist units in the city.
And other experts have the duty of control and planning regarding the operational programs of Ministry of Health.
